Winter Coat Drive 2017

Tri Creek Lumber & Hardware is hosting their 11th Annual Winter Coat Drive. All new and gently used clean coats, in all sizes can be dropped off at Tri Creek Lumber from now until Saturday, January 13, 2018. Other items that can be donated are hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves. All coats and other items will be distributed to local churches and St. Jude in Crown Point. Tri Creek Lumber is located at 1895 E. Commercial Ave., Lowell, In 46356. If you have any questions call 219-696-8936.

Toys for Tots

Edward Jones is a drop off location for Toys for Tots this Holiday Season. Please drop off any new & unwrapped toys for ages newborn through 12 years old. Edward Jones will be collecting Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm until Sunday, December 17th. They are located at 17650 Morse Street, Lowell, In 46356. 6th Annual Beer & Wine Tasting

The Lowell Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 60th Anniversary Celebration and its 6th Annual Wine & Beer Tasting on Thursday, November 30th at 6 pm at Signature Banquets, 1908 E. Commercial Avenue.  There will be a silent auction and local vendors. This is a family friendly event. Tickets are $35 for adults. $20 for Children 13-20(DD) years old, $15 for children 5-12, & children 4 years and under are free. The tickets include wine and beer tasting along with appetizers. There will also be a 50/50 raffle- tickets are $10 with only 200 being sold. Winner will be drawn the evening of the event and does not need to be present.

Holiday Magic Christmas Tree

The Lowell Chamber of Commerce are taking orders for Christmas trees. The staked trees will be located throughout the town on Commercial Ave. or business districts. The cost of the trees are $65 for Chamber members, $75 for Non-Chamber members, and $55 for Private Individual-providing their own electric.

Lowell Outdoor Market

The last Outdoor Market of the season will be Saturday, October 14th 8a.m.-1p.m.  The Lowell Chamber of Commerce want to thanks the students & staff for their hard work for putting this on in our wonderful community. We are still looking for vendors who would like to promote their business, farm, or home-based business. Hope Center 5K Butterfly Run – Sunday June 11th at 8 am

The Hope Center will be holding it’s 5K Butterfly Run on Sunday June 11th at 8 am at Stony Run County Park. Event highlights will include a trail run, a trail walk, a kids’ caterpillar race, inspirational speakers, a cancer survivor recognition ceremony and more! Gold Star Cafe’ will sell breakfast items for the participants.

Event sponsors will be promoted on event t-shirts, posters, our website, social media, their e-newsletter, banners and more!

Women Build – Habitat for Humanity – Volunteers needed!

Come out and help with the 2017 Women Build for Habitat for Humanity. Kick off begins May 6th with weekly build days of Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Individuals and groups of 6 to 8 per day maximum.
